Ara in currently actively involved and has himself in the past founded, operated and served as CEO of several successful businesses from which he has developed a keen understanding of finance, marketing, revenue generation, equity financing, organization, record keeping, accounting methods, leadership, and management.

Distinction Ara was named by Boston Magazine’s Super Lawyers edition as a Massachusetts Rising Star for 2005. He received the McDermott Award in 2004 from Suffolk University Law School for outstanding alumni service. For the 2004-2005 term, Ara’s professional colleagues award him the Boston Inn of Court Inn Oscar Award in recognition for extraordinary contribution as the best thespian.

Community Involvement Ara J. Balikian is actively involved in community service. He serves as the Chair of the New England District of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU). He is the past Grand Treasurer and past Grand Secretary of the Knights of Vartan, Inc. He has served as pro bono legal counsel to Full Circle: A Journal of Poetry and Prose, and Each One Reach One, Inc., a non-profit organization which educates, instructs, motivates and trains underprivileged adults in low income communities in the use of computers and computer programs for the purpose of improving individual employment marketability.
